Canada is sure to be ablaze on July 1st for Canada’s 150th birthday!
It’s no exception for Heritage Valley in Edmonton! They’ve been planning since last year’s Canada Day to make this one a really special and extraordinary one! A handful of community leaders have been working tirelessly to create an extravaganza of epic proportions!
This year will include eleven bouncy castles, a talent show, Canada 150 t-shirts, food trucks, fireworks and special performances from Opera Nuova, The Royal Foundry, and Rule of Nine! This will be great fun for the kids and the entire family really. There will also be appearances from politicians in our community such as, Thomas Dang, Nathan Ip and Mayor Don Iveson.
Along with the Ukrainian Canadian Congress, the Heritage Valley Canada Day Spectacular has been sponsored by Blackmud Creek Community League, Heritage Pointe Community League, Ellerslie Baptist Church, the City of Edmonton and Canada 150. A lot of community love has been put into this event to create a compelling, inclusive and community building Canada Day celebration.
So come out on July 1st from 4pm to 11pm at South Pointe Community Centre (11520 Ellerslie Road) to experience all the fun that is sure to go down!
Food donations are welcome and be sure to GO GREEN! and walk or ride your bike to the celebration as parking is limited.
