Marriage results in a rhythm of monotony that can easily turn into dysrhythmia: so is the marriage of two math professors, Audrey and Zena. Zena aloofly sabotages her wife’s Other Woman — Audrey’s potluck dinner party, and aloofly insults every bedfellowed guest. A fast paced play about the ability to trust and belittle those most familial to you, we see that when it comes to getting your just desserts, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.
The Gooseberry is a new play written by J.Wisniewski and directed by Skye Hyndman.
The cast features entirely Edmonton-based youth:
ZIA MIZERA as Dr. Audrey Duhl
HAYLEY MOORHOUSE as Dr. Zena Duhl
RYAN JACKSON as Dr. Charles Pickwick
BRIDGET LYNE as Janit Pickwick
PARKER ALI as Foxy Loxy Plocksy
LESLYN STOBBS as Cool Girl
As well as their ad/stage manger, Karen Rundofa.
The Gooseberry will open on June 26th, 2017 at Roots on Whyte (8135 102 St NW, Edmonton) and will continue to show everyday until June 30th, 2017. The doors will open at 7pm and the play will begin at 7:30pm, but do come early as seating is limited!
